Our Story
Mike Shea's Coffee Roasting Company is a family business led by Roaster Mike Shea who learned the basics after years of manual roasting developing his skills. Mike is the inspiration behind our delicious Single Origins and Unique Blends. We are a leader in high quality 100% Arabica Specialty Grade coffee beans packed in Whole Bean and Freshly Ground.
We began our coffee journey by operating a high-volume, upscale coffeehouse. We talked about the coffee and how to make it better.
We sold the Coffeehouse and bought a Coffee Roaster.
Mike began roasting on our newly purchased manual 7 kilo and that was the beginning of Mike Shea's Coffee Roasting Co. At first many roasts weren't as good as he wanted but they soon became consistent, meeting taste profiles every time. We purchased our 12 kilo a short time after and we still use both machines for small-batch roasting. In 2020 we purchased a 70 kilo roaster which gives us the ability to handle larger volume roasting. Our roasters are all American-made by Diedrich Coffee Roasters, Ponderay, Idaho.
As a community-oriented company we support the Bridgewater Library, Bridgewater Police, Bridgewater Fire, Massachusetts State Police, and charitable organizations.
Mike Shea's offers a wide range of coffee choices at the fairest prices possible. Our coffee inventory has origins from many countries. We concentrate on only offering 100% Arabica specialty grades: standard specialty, elevated specialty, and Micro Lot Farm Direct. We direct buy from the growers and have built many long-term relationships with industry-leading importers whose buying philosophies are consistent with ours.

Our Mike Shea's coffee is skillfully roasted to guarantee freshness while maintaining a strict quality control throughout the entire roasting process. Once Mike is finished roasting the coffee is packaged immediately in airtight, one-way valve bags to preserve its freshness. Our mission is to provide our customers with a superior coffee from bean to cup.
